As one of Norway’s most innovative real estate developers, Smedvig Eiendom manages various properties across Stavanger, Hamar, Lillehammer, and the UK. After nearly a decade of using an on-premises CRM solution, they aimed to transition to a more scalable, cloud-based system to improve flexibility, automate workflows, and reduce maintenance costs.

Challenge

Smedvig Eiendom had been using Lime CRM integrated with Fenistra, a property management software designed to streamline real estate processes. However, to align with current digital standards and prepare for future growth, Smedvig sought a robust CRM solution with powerful marketing, sales, and automation capabilities that would seamlessly integrate with Fenistra. Key requirements included automated workflows, improved reporting, and ready-to-use data flows between the two systems


Requirements

  • A CRM that must be capable of integrating with Fenistra (the system used for property management).

  • Data coming from Fenistra to CRM should be ready for use in sales/marketing activities, automation, and reporting.

Solution

TRY Dig facilitated Smedvig Eiendom’s transition to HubSpot, a comprehensive CRM platform that combines sales, marketing, customer service, website management, and more in one cloud-based system. With HubSpot’s open APIs, the integration with Fenistra was set up to optimize data flow. Custom objects were created within HubSpot to manage specific elements such as buildings, contracts, and contract-related assets, while also leveraging standard objects for contacts, companies, and deals.

For contract management, Smedvig integrated Oneflow with HubSpot. This allows Smedvig to generate and manage smart contracts directly within the CRM, creating a streamlined experience across their sales pipeline and tracking.

Results

With the new HubSpot-based CRM, Smedvig Eiendom has achieved significant improvements in workflow efficiency and reporting capabilities. The platform now supports streamlined customer engagement, sales activities, and detailed reporting to leadership, providing a clear overview of lease management, contract expiration dates, and vacant spaces across various property portfolios.

Additionally, Smedvig Eiendom has enhanced its communication channels, making it easier to manage newsletters, event invitations, and social media outreach for all portfolios. The CRM’s automated processes and data governance tools ensure Smedvig maintains high standards of professionalism and compliance, ultimately improving client interactions and operational control.

Transitioning to HubSpot was challenging but has yielded significant benefits in efficiency and oversight. The CRM allows us to seamlessly integrate our workflows, and we look forward to further exploring its capabilities with TRY Dig.
