Friendship doesn't have to mean that you hang out, go to the movies or the pub together - but that you notice each other.

Challenge

In Norway, one in five people experience discrimination based on illness, gender, age, ethnicity, or sexual identity—because society often has a narrow definition of what is "acceptable." A sense of belonging is a fundamental human need. It’s the feeling of being part of a community that respects, sees, and accepts you for who you are. This year, World Mental Health Day aimed to make our key social spaces more inclusive, as we all need to feel like we belong.

Solution

In this year’s campaign film, we showcased people in society who create space for each other in both small and large social settings, hoping to inspire others to do the same. Because sometimes, even a simple "hello" to someone you don’t know can mean more than you think.

A big thank you to Guri and Elise, Nima and Tone, Sara and Leslie, Nicolas and Morten, and Sarah and Ali for courageously sharing their stories.
