The young Norwegian brand already had strong international demand, particularly in South Korea. But their old platform couldn't keep pace. They needed a solution that could scale globally whilst maintaining full control over their brand experience.
After evaluating Norwegian and international agencies, they selected TRY eCommerce (formerly Frend eCommerce) as their partner.

The new online shop follows best practice for modern eCommerce. It's a headless solution with Centra as the eCommerce engine, Storyblok as CMS and eCommerce accelerator with React and Next.js on the frontend. Integrations with Adyen and Ingrid provide seamless checkout and logistics. The result is a flexible, scalable platform with complete design freedom – built for international growth.
"What I'm most proud of is the brand experience we've created. It's a proper flagship shop in BLÆST's gorpcore universe," says Dennis.
They're also integrating Depict.ai to enable AI-powered merchandising and intelligent product recommendations.
What's really driven success is BLÆST's holistic approach to the key eCommerce pillars: technology, design and brand, marketing and business strategy.
Insights from their rebrand gave them a deeper understanding of their audience, allowing them to increase prices and strengthen positioning – entirely without discounts.
"When tech, design and marketing align, the results speak for themselves. That's certainly been the case here," says Dennis.
The design was developed by Neue, whilst TRY eCommerce (then Frend eCommerce) handled the technology. The outcome isn’t just commercially successful – it’s visually acclaimed too. BLÆST recently won gold at the Visuelt Awards 2025 in the «digital design» category.

BLÆST is a Norwegian outdoor clothing brand from Ålesund that combines functional materials with modern design. With roots in the west coast climate, they make clothes that withstand the weather without compromising on style. The brand draws inspiration from outdoor life and urban culture, and has become part of the international gorpcore trend.
